After Elf just announced prices were going up because of tariffs in August, dropping a billion on a meme celebrity brand is.....well it sure is something.

I don’t care about rhode but I’m pissed at elf, esp after their price increases.
Thread Analysis: The user is discussing specific products from the ELF brand, including a makeup brush and concealer, and expressing their disappointment with these products.
ELF was amazing when everything was $1 or $3. Now they are pretty in line with most other drugstore lines in price, but the quality is the same.

Elf is also trying to put a small handmade bead company out of business so they're now on my no-buy list.

They are selling it as supply chain diversity but I am not sure I buy it. Elf is predominantly manufactured in China which is why they had low prices Rhode is manufactured in the US, Europe and some Asian countries but I don't believe she ever used Chinese facilities. Elf clearly has the capital to manufacture anywhere they want but they have specifically chosen China because of the price point they want to be in. They don't need Haley or Rhode to access the same companies. I can't imagine her formulas are by any means revolutionary. And if I put my conspiracy hat on, a purchase of this size doesn't happen overnight and it takes a long time to do due diligence. The deal doesn't even close until the 2nd quarter of 2026 and is $800 million in cash and stock upon close and $200 million based on how Rhode does over the following 3 years. Its impossible to know how much will go in Haley's pocket directly.

Comparing the ingredient list, this isn't even close to a dupe. The ingredients in the UFO are much better. The ingredients in ELF are mostly cheap and meaningless. This is an imitation, with similar packaging. Meant to fool people who don't read ingredients.
Thread Analysis: The post is primarily humorous, self-referential, and not informative about a specific beauty-related issue.
try elf whoa glow sunscreen, if you want another primer i recommend the nyx plumping primer. the juvias place natural radiance foundation is so pretty and doesn’t make my pores feel clogged. i feel like these would compliment you very well!

I'm glad someone mentioned this! It gave me such an ick when I first read about it cause who's mistaking a bead company with a make-up company???? Also it seemed like they were going after the elf part specifically which is dumb cause what about every other big brand that has elf in thier name like elf on the shelf
Thread Analysis: The user is discussing a specific product (Clinique Black Honey lipstick) and expressing their personal opinion about its suitability.
Elf sheer stick lipstick in black cherry is an exact dupe and has a way better formula imo
